Women in Horror – Shared Pages: Holly Day

Holly DayI chose this female horror writer for my spotlight because her story “Dear Susan” in the Say Goodnight to the Bad Guy anthology was delightfully disturbing, or as one reviewer described it “strange yet gripping”.

In addition to being a woman in horror, she is a prolific writer of poetry and non fiction. According to her biography, as a freelance writer for decades she has published over 7000 articles, poems, short stories and fifteen non-fiction books. She also teaches writing. Her many successes include winning the Isaac Asimov Award for Undergraduate Fiction in 1995, and two Midwest Writer’s Grants from Poets & Writers Magazine in 1994 and 1995.
