Women in Horror – Spotlight: Marianne Halbert

My next spotlight shines on the glinting smile of Marianne Halbert, wordsmith of “Papa’s Wrench and the Wind Chime” in The Grotesquerie. One might expect bloody tales from a woman named after a deadly weapon, but she prefers tension to gore. Well written and adept at horror, she has had her works published in a plethora of anthologies including the Canopic Jars mummy anthology from Great Old Ones Publishing and From Beyond the Grave, a ghostly anthology from Grinning Skull Press.

Her fans describe her work as “subtle, almost gentle, and powerful at the same time”  and “creepy”

She has an eye-catching website at http://halbertfiction.webs.com/ and you can explore a selection of her published work on her Amazon author page.
