Women in Horror – Spotlight: Nicky Peacock

February 4, 2014 at 11:53 pm (horror, Links, writing) (, , , , , )

Today’s spotlight is on the author of The Grotesquerie’s “The Red Fingers” and one of the more prolific contributors to the anthology. Nicky Peacock writes in multiple genres, but describes horror as her “guilty little go-to”. Her published horror oeuvres include a tale in the Christmas horror charity anthology, O Little Town of Deathlehem (we shared pages in that anthology as well) from Grinning Skulls Press, Another 100 Horrors from Creuntus Libri Press and dozens of other stories and poems in a variety of anthologies from five different countries.

Her fans describe her work as “entertaining” and “esoteric”. I think she’s a pretty fantastic current example of women in horror.
